JODAN. (hereinafter referred to as “the Store”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter, the “Policy”) regarding the handling of privacy information through the services provided on this website (“the Service”).

Article 1 (Privacy Information)

  1. “Personal Information” refers to “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, meaning information about a living individual that can identify a specific person based on descriptions such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact details, or other information contained therein.

  2. “History Information and Characteristic Information” refers to information other than the Personal Information defined above, including the services used, products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords, date and time of use, usage methods, usage environment, postal code, gender, occupation, age, IP address, cookie information, location information, and unique device identifiers.

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Privacy Information)

  1. The Store may ask users to provide Personal Information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when users register for an account. The Store may collect transaction records that include Personal Information, and payment-related information from our business partners (“Business Partners”), including information providers, advertisers, and advertisement distributors.

  2. The Store also collects History Information and Characteristic Information when users use or view the Store’s services or those provided by our Business Partners, including information such as the services used, software used, products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, browsing history, search keywords, date and time of use, usage methods, usage environment (including communication status and various configuration settings when using a mobile device), IP address, cookie information, location information, and unique device identifiers.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting Privacy Information)

The purposes for which the Store collects and uses Personal Information are as follows:

  1. To display registration information such as name, address, contact information, payment method, details of purchased products or services, and related payment information, enabling users to view or modify their registered information and usage status.

  2. To use contact information such as email address or physical address for notifications or necessary communications, including shipment of products.

  3. To verify user identity by using information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, bank account number, credit card number, and delivery confirmation results.

  4. To bill users using payment information related to purchased products, including the product name, quantity, types and duration of services, number of uses, billing amounts, name, address, bank account number, and credit card number.

  5. To facilitate easy data entry by displaying registered information or transferring such information to other services (including those provided by our partners) based on user instructions.

  6. To refuse use of the Service to users who violate the Terms of Use, delay payment, cause damage to third parties, or attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes through unauthorized access of usage records and identity information.

  7. To respond to user inquiries by using necessary information such as inquiry details, payment information, usage status, and contact information.

  8. Purposes incidental to the purposes listed above

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. The Store will not provide Personal Information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except where permitted by law and the following cases:

    1. When required by law.

    2. When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and obtaining user consent is difficult.

    3. When particularly necessary for improving public health or the promotion of healthy child development and obtaining user consent is difficult.

    4. When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency or local public body in executing affairs based on laws, and obtaining user consent may impede such execution.

    5. When the following information has been announced or made publicly available in advance:

      • The inclusion of a third-party provision in the purpose of use
      • Items of data to be provided to third parties
      • Methods or means of providing data to third parties
      • Suspension of such provision at the request of the user
  2. Notwithstanding the above, the following cases are not considered a provision to third parties:

    1. When the Store entrusts the handling of Personal Information within the necessary scope to achieve the Purpose of Use.

    2. When Personal Information is provided due to business succession such as a merger.

    3. When Personal Information is jointly used with specific parties, and the required information such as the scope, purpose of use, and responsible party has been notified or made easily accessible to users in advance.

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. When the Store receives a request for disclosure of Personal Information from the user, the Store shall disclose it to the user without delay. However, if disclosure corresponds to any of the following, disclosure may be withheld in whole or in part, and the user will be notified without delay. A handling fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged.

    1. If disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or any third party.

    2. If disclosure is likely to cause significant hindrance to the proper execution of the Store’s operations.

    3. If disclosure would result in violation of laws and regulations.

  2. Notwithstanding the above, the Store shall, in principle, not disclose information other than Personal Information such as History Information or Characteristic Information.

Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. If a user's Personal Information retained by the Store contains errors, the user may request correction or deletion through procedures specified by the Store.

  2. Upon receiving such a request and determining that it is necessary to respond, the Store will make corrections or deletions without delay and notify the user.

Article 7 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

If the user requests suspension of use or deletion of Personal Information (“Suspension of Use, etc.”) due to claims that such information is used beyond the scope of intended use or obtained by improper means, the Store will investigate without delay, take appropriate measures based on the results, and notify the user.

However, if Suspension of Use, etc. requires significant cost or is otherwise difficult to implement, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, the Store shall take such alternative measures.

Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

  1. The Policy may be changed without notifying the user.

  2. Except where otherwise specified by the Store, the updated Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.

Article 9 (Use of Google Analytics)

The Store uses Google Analytics to collect and analyze data regarding website usage for the purpose of improving services and usability. Google may collect information such as users’ IP addresses through cookies; however, such information cannot identify individuals.
Collected data is managed according to Google's privacy policies.
By continuing to use the website, users are deemed to have consented to data processing by Google and the Store in the manner and for the purposes described above.
